How is my Driving Style Score calculated?
If you’re a New Driver or Private Car Telematics customer, we will install a black box in your car and if you’re a Better Driver customer the app you download and connect to your car will record you journeys.
Both types of devices measures things like acceleration, braking, swerving, and the number and length of journeys that you make. We then take this data and place it into three categories – Speed, Smoothness and Usage – that are then combined to give you an overall Driving Style Score.
It’s this score that gives you the opportunity to earn weekly rewards for driving safely and responsibly.
